Day 1         Sunday - En Route to Israel – An Unforgettable Journey Begins

Depart on your flight to Israel and get ready to embark on an unforgettable journey, to create family memories that will last a lifetime. Bon Voyage!

Day 2         Monday - Welcome to Israel

Arrive at Ben Gurion Airport, where you will be met by our team of professionals who will assist and guide you to your transfer to the magnificent Orient Hotel in Jerusalem. Take some time to refresh and enjoy a rejuvenating experience at the hotel spa or if you’re eager to explore, venture out to the vibrant streets of Ben Yehuda or Emek Refa’im, where the pulse of Jerusalem beats with energy and excitement.

Evening: Meet your guide and the group and enjoy an exquisite welcome dinner at the Orient Hotel.

Day 3         Tuesday - Jerusalem Old City

Continue your expedition to the Southern Wall Archaeological Park, also known as the Davidson Centre. Immerse yourself in a captivating presentation that brings the Temple Mount and the vibrant life of two millennia ago back to vivid reality. Gain unique insights into the daily life, rituals, and grandeur of the ancient world, painting a vivid picture of Jerusalem’s rich history. Prepare to be moved as you arrive at the Kotel, the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site. Conclude the day’s adventure with an extraordinary walk back in time through the Western Wall Tunnels, a hidden gem that reveals layers of history beneath the Old City.

Special Dinner: Enjoy an extraordinary evening as we embark on a journey to Genesis Land (Eretz Beresheet), nestled in the captivating landscapes of the Judean Desert. Brace yourself for an immersive experience that will transport you back in time to the days of biblical wonder. You will be greeted by Eliezer, Abraham’s servant, and by a train of camels which will lead you down to Abraham’s tent for an unforgettable “Chafla”, local dinner.

Day 4         Wednesday - Jerusalem New City

Breakfast

Following a delectable breakfast at the hotel, we will take a short drive to Ammunition Hill, where you will hear tales of bravery and valor that unfolded during the epic battle between Israeli paratroopers and Jordanian legionnaires during the Six Day War. This monumental battle played a crucial role in the reunification of Jerusalem in 1967, a turning point in the history of the city and the nation.

Then we make our way to the renowned Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum & Memorial, nestled on the serene green slopes of Har HaZikaron, also known as the “Mount of Remembrance.” Prepare to embark on a deeply moving experience that pays homage to the victims and survivors of the Holocaust. Step into a world of remembrance and reflection as you enter the museum, where the story of the Holocaust unfolds from a unique perspective. The museum brings history to life through an extensive collection of original artifacts, powerful testimonies, and personal possessions that bear witness to this dark period in human history. Visit the Grove of the Righteous among the Nations, a sacred space honoring non-Jews who risked their lives to save Jewish lives during the Holocaust. Enter the Children’s Memorial, where you will experience solemn reflection as you honor the memory of these young victims. Take part in a special “Yizkor” (memorial service) in Bik’at Ha Kehilot (The Valley of Communities). A special “Twinning” program will be provided for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah children.

Continue to Mt. Herzl, the site of Israel’s national cemetery which is named after Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern political Zionism, whose tomb lies at the top of the hill.  See the burial place of Israel’s former prime ministers and presidents, prominent Jewish and Zionist leaders, as well as those of young men and women who paid the ultimate price to make the dream of modern Israel a reality.

From the solemnity of Mt. Herzl, let the vibrant energy of Jerusalem’s Machane Yehuda Market beckon you. Enjoy the bustling atmosphere of this iconic marketplace, known as the “Shuk.” Allow your senses to come alive as you explore the sights, sounds, and tantalizing aromas. Wander around the many local vendors selling delicious cheeses, pastries, spices, nuts, and much more. Sample some halva, ice cream, or fresh fruit drinks.

Return to the hotel and meet with the Rabbi for a final rehearsal before the big day!

Evening: Enjoy the mesmerizing “Night Spectacular” Sound & Light Show at the Citadel Museum, an enchanting experience that will transport you through time and ignite your senses. Immerse yourself in the narrative as the illuminated walls of the Citadel Museum become a canvas for a spectacular storytelling journey. Witness the unfolding of Jerusalem’s rich history, spanning centuries of triumphs, challenges, and cultural treasures. Marvel at the seamless fusion of ancient and modern, as the cutting-edge technology brings the past to life in vivid detail.

Day 5         Thursday - Masada, the Dead Sea - Ceremony Day

The big day has arrived and we are thrilled to exceed your expectations at every turn. Get ready for an extraordinary journey through the awe-inspiring landscapes of Israel to Masada, which is now declared a UNESCO “World Heritage Site”. Ascend the mountain by Cable Car to this last stronghold of the Zealots who valiantly chose death over surrender to the Roman Legion in the Jewish Revolt against Rome some 2000 years ago. Join the Rabbi at a select location overlooking the Dead Sea and the majestic Mountains of Moab for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah service, a momentous occasion that marks a significant milestone. After the uplifting ceremony, delve into the architectural marvels of Herod’s Palace, imagining the grandeur of the past. Step inside the synagogue, where the echoes of ancient prayers still resonate. Uncover the secrets of the bathhouse and marvel at the ingenious water system that sustained life on this mountaintop. Take a glimpse into the fascinating storage rooms, where remnants of the past offer a glimpse into the daily lives of the Zealots.

Descend Masada and drive to the beach for an unforgettable dip at the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth; wrap yourself in the therapeutic mud and immerse in the tranquil and mineral-rich waters, where you’ll effortlessly float, experiencing a unique sensation of weightlessness. Next, our journey takes us to the enchanting oasis of Ein Gedi, where nature’s wonders await. Enjoy a scenic hike through this breathtaking landscape, surrounded by lush greenery and vibrant wildlife. Be captivated by the mesmerizing waterfalls that cascade down with grace and power.

After a day of adventure and natural splendor, it’s time to honor the Bar/Bat Mitzvah children with a festive celebration. Tonight, we have arranged a special dinner, meticulously curated to highlight the freshest local bounty and flavors. Live entertainment (subject to group size) will set the stage for a night to remember.

Day 6         Friday - Archaeological Dig and Yad Lashiryon

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, our next destination is Tel Maresha, a captivating archaeological site in the ancient region of Beit Guvrin, once the ancestral home of King Herod. Prepare to step back in time and become an archaeologist for a day as you participate in a hands-on archaeological dig. Roll up your sleeves and engage in the exhilarating process of digging, unearthing the hidden remnants of the past. Feel the connection to history as you sift through the soil, uncovering artifacts that hold secrets of ancient civilizations. Following the immersive archaeological experience, it’s time to venture into Beit Guvrin National Park and crawl through its vast cave systems.  Our journey takes us to the remarkable Yad LaShiryon at Latrun, Israel’s official memorial site that pays tribute to the fallen soldiers of the armored corps, while also serving as an open-air museum, featuring a display of more than 200 tanks and military vehicles, dating back to WWI. Explore the museum, where each tank and vehicle tell a story of bravery, sacrifice, and resilience. Gain a deeper understanding of their significance as you learn about their roles in major conflicts, including the War of Independence, which witnessed the valorous struggles for the establishment of modern Israel.

In the evening, we enter the Old City and proceed to the Western Wall for the start of the Sabbath, for an uplifting and memorable experience then we head back to the hotel for a traditional Shabbat dinner.

Day 7         Saturday - Jerusalem at Leisure

Spend the day at leisure in honor of Shabbat. Take this opportunity to unwind and recharge. You may choose to relax by the pool, catch up with friends or relatives, or simply revel in the serenity of your surroundings. Consider attending a Shabbat service or exploring the enchanting city of Jerusalem at your own leisurely pace.

Day 8         Sunday - En Route to the North

We begin the day with a drive through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean. the largest excavated Roman city in the Middle East. Prepare to be awestruck by the grandeur of what was once a thriving metropolis, home to approximately 40,000 people. Wander through the reconstructed ruins and let your imagination transport you back to the bustling streets and vibrant energy of ancient times. Marvel at the remnants of the Roman temple, artisan workshops, public baths, and a magnificent amphitheater that is still used for performances.

Next, we make our way to the chocolate farm nestled in the picturesque Kibbutz Degania and enter Galitathe sweet world of chocolate! Watch a short film about chocolate, and continue to the workshop center to create your own chocolate masterpiece. After the workshop, Indulge in the heavenly flavors of Galita’s homemade ice cream.

Proceed to Safed, where you will be captivated as you wander through the twisting alleyways and uncover the secrets of this ancient city, once a vibrant center for the mystics of Kabala. Discover the hidden gems of Safed’s historic and unique synagogues and explore the galleries and workshops that showcase the works of talented artists.

Get an adrenalin rush in the afternoon kayaking in the Jordan River, and dare the exhilarating 300-foot-long zip-line journey, ending with a splash in the Jordan waters.

Day 9         Monday - Galilee and Golan Heights

Today we’ve arranged for a rare treat – we will visit an Army Base, and have the opportunity to observe the life of an active combat unit and speak with the courageous soldiers who defend the northern borders. The visit is subject to the current political situation.

Then we will descend from the heights of the Golan, taking in spectacular views of the area as we make our way to Tel Dan, a town that is steeped in 6000 years of history. Its setting in the lush valley supplied by the Dan River makes it one of the loveliest sites to visit in the North.

Tonight, we’ll enjoy a traditional Israeli dinner followed by an exciting jeep tour beginning in the twilight hour and traveling into the darkness. Board our open jeeps and let the thrill of the night engulf you. We’ll hear the sounds of the night and observe the active wildlife. Returning from this exciting ride, we’ll head for a cozy get-together around a bonfire “Kumzits” to roast some marshmallows while we star gaze into the glorious Israeli skies.

Overnight: Kibbutz Kfar Blum

 

Day 10         Tuesday - Haifa, Caesarea, Tel Aviv

Breakfast

After enjoying the delicious buffet breakfast at Kfar Blum, prepare to be transported back in time to the ancient land of Israel, where the vibrant tapestry of day-to-day life is recreated at Mitzpeh Hoshaya’s Kfar Kedem. Hear the words of the prophets as you thresh grain, spin wool, press oil from fresh olives and wine from fresh grapes, and take to the trail on donkeys.  Leave with a Homing pigeon and send a special message back to Kfar Kedem as you release the pigeon on its homeward path.

From there we head to Haifa to see the awe-inspiring Baha’i Gardens, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, often described as the “eighth wonder of the world.” Prepare to be mesmerized by the meticulously landscaped terraces, vibrant flora, and breathtaking panoramas. We will continue to a nearby Druze Village where we will learn about the Druze people and their unique way of life.

Then on to Caesarea, the “Dream by the Sea” constructed by Herod the Great between 22 and 10 BC and named after Caesar Augustus. Enjoy a tour of the rich remains spanning from the time of the Romans to the Islamic period: the 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheater, the Crusader harbor, and Herod’s palace. Brace yourself for an immersive multimedia show that will bring Caesarea’s historical events and iconic figures to life in a whole new way and gain an understanding of this remarkable seaside wonder.

Continue to Tel Aviv and enjoy an evening at leisure to enjoy this vibrant city

Day 11         Wednesday - Tel Aviv

After a buffet breakfast at the hotel, drive to Machon Ayalon, a secretive bullet factory established by the Haganah underground movement in 1945. As the largest bullet factory during that time, it produced 2.23 million bullets between 1946-1948, while keeping this secret from the ruling British military. Explore the hidden chambers and underground workshops, where skilled artisans worked tirelessly to manufacture ammunition that would shape the course of history.

Continue to Neot Kedumim, an eco-tourism site and a “living museum” that recreates the physical setting of the Bible, in all its depth and detail. Here you will have the opportunity to plant a tree.

Drive back to Jaffa to explore the reconstructed Artists’ Quarter with its galleries and unique boutiques. Explore the popular Nachalat Benyamin, a vibrant street with restaurants and cafes right next to the famous Carmel market with the wonderful tastes and smells of fresh produce, spices, baked goods, souvenirs and local cuisine.

Back at the hotel, freshen up before joining the group for a farewell dinner. For those who have a midnight flight, a departure transfer will be arranged. For others, last overnight.

Day 12         Thursday - Return to North America or Extend your trip

Terms and Important Information

Air transportation is available from anywhere in the USA and Canada. Airport transfers are included on the scheduled tour dates. No refunds are made for missed sightseeing tours, missed transfers, or unused hotel accommodations on our summer tours.

Payments

Credit cards are accepted for all deposits, insurance and air transportation. Final payments must be settled no later than 30 days prior to departure.

Registration

A deposit of $450 US per person is required to secure space on the tour.

Insurance

Travel insurance is the best way to financially protect you against the cost of unexpected emergencies prior and during your trip. Ask yourself “can I afford to lose my trip investment or pay for an unexpected medical emergency?” If your answer is “no”, then purchasing travel insurance is a smart choice. We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance.

Passports

Must be valid six months from the date of return. If you are not a US or Canadian passport holder please check visa requirements.

Cancellation Policy

The deposit is 100% refundable up to 90 days prior to departure. The deposit is non-refundable less than 90 days prior to departure. Land services are subject to a 50% cancellation fee if canceled between 45 and 22 days prior to departure, and 75% if canceled between 21 and 15 days prior to departure. Cancellation 14 days or less prior to departure will result in the loss of 100% of the total package price.

In order to maintain this reputation, we wish to advise you that minor changes may be made in the itinerary or the accommodations. These changes may occur prior to departure and even during the Tour itself. The changes are usually a result of insufficient space, changes in site schedules, safety and ease of transportation, or the inability of the supplier to provide services to meet our standards. We will make every effort to ensure that any changes made to the Tour comply with our high standards.
